Errata for the IERS Conventions (1996)

Note: 
As of 14 January 1997, all changes listed below have been made to 
the electronic version. 

The policy on changes is to make the changes to the electronic 
version as soon as possible. 

1.  p. 2:  In the Errata from Technical Note 13, Pearblossum
should be Pearblossom.

2.  p. 12:  In the second full paragraph, relevent should be
relevant.

3.  p. 15:  COCO x rotation -0.009705 should be -0.010425.
            EURA z rotation 0.003135 should be 0.003153.

4.  p. 16:  After the "Compute the new coordinates" comment, ORY
should be OMY(IPSIT), ORZ should be OMZ(IPSIT), and ORX should be
OMX(IPSIT).

5.  p. 18:  In the last reference, Follkner should be Folkner.

6.  p. 19:  For 1/f, 298.25645 should be 298.25642.

7.  p. 35:  In the second ful paragraph, micorarcsecond should be
microarcsecond.

8.  p. 36:  i=1,106 has been removed from the summation, the B_i" 
term -12.7 should be 12.7 and the B_i" term 1.4 should be -1.4.

9.  p. 39:  Liekse should be Lieske.

10.  p. 41:  In the first partial paragraph, "(see below)
Consequently" should be "(see below).  Consequently".

11.  p. 42:  In the last paragraph, "because the contribution"
should be "because there is no closed expression for the
contribution".

12.  p. 44:  In the last paragraph, "are below cutoff and are not
listed." should be "are below cutoff (except for K_1, as given
above) and are not listed."

13.  p. 50:  Sckweizerbart'sche Verlagabuchhandlung should be
Schweitzerbart'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung.

14.  p. 51:  In the Roosbeek refrence, in press should be 126,
pp. 197-204.

15.  p. 56:  In the second paragraph, sperical should be
spherical.

16.  p. 64:  In the last paragraph, the upside-down question mark
is removed.

17.  p. 70:  In the Rabbel and Zschau reference, Statis should be
Static.

18.  p. 71:  Sckweizerbart'sche Verlagabuchhandlung should be
Schweitzerbart'sche Verlagsbuchhandlung.

19.  p. 73:  In the first paragraph, corected should be
corrected.

20.  p. 79:  In the first paragraph, atomspheric should be
atmospheric.

21.  p. 80:  In the Mendes and Langley reference, Navigations
should be Navigation.

22.  p. 81:  In the first paragraph under Global Positioning System,
Fliegel et al. (1992), (Gallini and Fliegel, 1995) are recommended 
should be Fliegel et al. (1992), Gallini and Fliegel (1995) and
Fliegel and Gallini (1996) are recommended.

23.  p. 82:  In the Fliegel and Gallini refrence, in press should be 33,
No. 6, pp. 863-866.

24.  p. 23:  The sign in the equation for l' has been changed from
- 0."000136t^3 to + 0."000136t^3.

25.  p. 69:  In the last paragraph, "Change directories to standards
(cd standards)." should be Change directories to conventions (cd 
conventions)."

26.  p. 73:  "xD - x" should be "x-xD" and "yD - y" should be 
"y - yD".

27.  p. 77:  The signs on the coefficients for the cosine of the
Delta y in Table 8.4 should be reversed.

28.  p. 49:  The sign in equation (10c) between S^+_{snm} and 
S^-_{snm} should be - instead of +.

29.  p. 76:  The equation for theta should be theta = 100.4606184 deg
+ 360.98564737 deg.

30.  p. 18:  The reference for Herring should read KSV_1996_3 instead
of KSV_1.

31.  p. 25:  The value for dpsi_A = -0.2957"/c instead of -0.299"/c and
depsilon_A = -0.0227"/c instead of -0.024"/c.

32.  p. 30:  The formula for dpsi should be dpsi = sum from 1 to 112
A_i sin(ARGUMENT) + A_i' cos(ARGUMENT) and the formula for depsilon
should be depsilon = sum from 1 to 112 B_i sin(ARGUMENT) + B_i' 
cos(ARGUMENT).

33.  p. 67:  In the Antenna Deformation section, k and k' should
be 10^-5 instead of 10^-6.

34.  p. 70:  The reference for MacMillan and Gipson should have
pp 18081-18087 instead of 18081-18088.  The reference for vanDam
et al. (1994) should have pp. 23939-23950 instead of 23937-23950.

35.  p. 81:  The model T10 should be used for Block I only while
the model T20 should be used for both Block II and IIA.

36.  p. 76:  The coefficient for the \DeltaS cosine term should be
-15.2 instead of -10.4 and the coefficient for the \omegaS term
should be 12.8 instead of 8.8.

37.  p. 51:  The reference for Tapley et al. should read J. Geophys.
Res., 101, pp. 28029-28049.

38.  p. 66: In the last full sentence, Equation 9 should be replaced
by Equation 19 and Chapter 4 should be replaced by Chapter 3.

39.  p. 66: In equation (19), sin 2\phi should be replaced by
sin 2\theta.

40.  p. 19:  The value of P = 5029.0966 instead of 5029.0965.
The reference for this value should be the Astronomical Almanac
for the Year 1984.

41.  p. 26:  The value for the period of the 18.6-year term should be
6798.38 days instead of 6798.35 days.

42.  p. 76:  The value for the period of the 18.6-year term should be
6798.38 days instead of 6790.36 days.

43.  p. 33:  After the four prograde/retrograde equations, \Delta
\epsilon_s should be replaced by \Delta \epsilon_s ^{op}.

44.  p. 83:  Equation (1) should not have a negative sign after the
equals sign.
